Gold Star Families Speak Out, Football and Reagan are back!
A unique perspective on this week's top stories!
Good morning, Happy Warriors! 👋
Common sense has re-entered the room!
Today is Wednesday, September 4, 2024. We are 61 days away from the 2024 election.
Take a deep breath - God is still in control!
Here’s this week’s edition of “What’s Up, America? 🇺🇸” as I head off to school this morning:
1.) Gold Star Families Speak Out!
[X]
🗞️ “Multiple Gold Star Families respond to Kamala Harris”
🔥 My take:
I ended last week’s newsletter by discussing Biden and Harris completely ignoring the Arlington National Cemetery ceremony remembering the 13 U.S. service members killed in their botched withdrawal from Afghanistan on the third anniversary, and today, I begin this week’s edition by providing an update:
Saturday night, the Gold Star Families spoke out, and it wasn’t an endorsement of Kamala Harris - it was the opposite.
Harris took to Twitter, days after ignoring the 3 year anniversary, to make a political attack at Trump for attending the ceremony after he was invited by the families. At the moment, the Gold Star Families who had remained fairly quiet on the political front over the past three years took action.
8 of them sat down and filmed videos responding to Harris’ tweet, blaming her for their family member’s death, and urging Americans not to put her back in the Situation Room to make the same mistake again!
As you can expect, they broke Twitter, garnering tens of millions of views in a matter of hours, but also as expected, the media completely ignored it.
The point they made was a good one: she prided herself as the “last one in the room” when the disastrous decision was made that fateful day. If elected, the thought of how many more U.S. service members lives who would be in danger under her watch is a terrifying thought!
My generation very seriously has to think about becoming drafting age and living in a timeline where international conflicts are popping up weekly! If Harris is elected my generation will be called to serve on the frontlines overseas in a Kamala Harris proxy war and I don’t trust her decision making to keep us safe as Commander in Chief.
2.) Get off the sidelines and get on offense!

🗞️ “HOLLYHAND: Football is back! Listen up…”
🔥 My take:
“Is the most wonderful time of the year…” No, it’s not Christmas yet, but college football kicked off this past Saturday and all of us southern boys were on cloud nine!
The new season got me thinking: what can Republicans learn from successful football teams? Two things stuck out to me.
First of all, we have to get off the sidelines. This message is for every Christian and conservative out there who has sat on their porch complaining about the direction of our country but not doing anything to correct it. For all of the people who have told me over the past decade that they’ll get involved “next cycle”…this is the last cycle is Harris and Walz get in. *This* is the time to get your butt off the couch and use the energy you used to use complaining on Facebook to volunteer and get out the vote over the next 61 days! I know it’s scary - trust me, but saving our country is worth the hate and pushback. I’m not saying you have to start out by door knocking in Pennsylvania, but you can simply start by having conversations at home with your kids and grandkids, with your neighbors and church members, and with the people you pass in the grocery store staring wide-eyed at the rising costs! Conversations will save the country. We must Make America Talk Again if we’re going to Make America Great Again.
Second, we must get on offense. The days of being the old early 2000s Republican Party that cowered in the corner when pressed on our policies must be over. We must be proud of our stances on the right side of history and explain them to voters, not waver on them. It’s time for Republican nominees to get creative about messaging strategies and stick to talking about their plans to restore America, not just how evil their opponents are. As someone who will be voting for the first time this November, I would love to hear candidates’ plans to create a prosperous future for my peers and I to grow up in and raise families in, not just invoke nicknames!
You don’t win football games on defense alone, just like you can’t win them sitting on the sidelines. This message isn’t just for candidates but for all of you reading!
We’re 61 days out - let’s act like it!
3.) Reagan stars on the big screen again!
[Rob Batzdorff / Forbes]
🔥 My take:
Sunday night, on Labor Day eve, I took a time machine and went back to those ancient places called movie theaters to watch the new biopic on the Gipper, “REAGAN.”
As someone who just released a book invoking Ronald Reagan’s timeless words of wisdom, my expectation bar was very high, and the movie surprisingly exceeded it!
Hollywood didn’t attempt to paint the former movie star in a negative light or tarnish his legacy, but instead go from his early childhood to his ride off into the sunset (literally), and explain the pivotal moments in his life that shaped the man we all fondly know with the underlying theme of his passion for eliminating communism!
I walked into the theater parking lot being proud to be an American and was reminded of those days when our country was internationally recognized as the “shining city on the hill”. My fellow Americans - those days are not gone, we just have to polish this great nation before it can shine bright again! In a world where our leaders are embarrassments on the global stage, it was refreshing to be reminded of the days when peace through strength and common sense filled the Oval Office.
Aside from wit, wisdom, and strong diplomacy, I also have to say seeing the strong relationship between Mr. and Mrs. Reagan was another highlight of the film setting an example for my generation to strive to create supportive, moral-driven marriages!
Dennis Quaid, Jon Voight, Kevin Sorbo, and many more stared in what I think is very easily the movie of the year! This is not a paid plug or ad - I’m not encouraging you to take your families (specifically your kids and grandkids) to the theaters this week or weekend!
*.) What’s new…
I appeared on Newsmax to react to Trump winning over youth voters!

The real insanity is this Regime condemning Trump no matter what he does. The more desperate they are the more insane they become. Harris, all 5’2” of her, is a total fraud and prostitute.
