Endorsements, VP Debate, and Grocery Shopping
Brilyn pulls the curtain back on the political events of the past week through the lens of a first-time voter!
Good morning, Happy Warriors! 👋
Common sense has re-entered the room!
Today is Wednesday, September 24, 2024. We are 40 days away from the 2024 election.
Take a deep breath - God is still in control!
Here’s a Bible verse to get you through this week:
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” - 2 Chronicles 7:14
Here’s this week’s of “What’s Up, America? 🇺🇸” as I head off to school this morning:
1.) Harris’ circus of misfit endorsements
[AP]
They say you’re judged by the company you keep.
Well, if Kamala Harris is being judged by the endorsement she’s picked up in the past few weeks, the American people aren’t giving her a good score!
First, Russia’s Putin endorsed Harris with a smile. Yes, the party who invented and perpetrated the “Russia, Russia, Russia” hoax’s nominee has been endorsed by the tyrannical dictator attempting to meddle in our elections again for the Left.
Next, Iran hacked Trump’s campaign and sent years worth of documents to Harris’ campaign and DNC friendly media. Not to mention the potential plots to take Trump out. Yes, you read that right - Kamala Harris is the candidate of Iran!
Then, the media really thought they did it when “700 high-ranking national security officials” endorsed her. 700 members of the deep state and three letter agencies who have weaponized their department to go after their political enemies is putting their support behind Harris.
Just last week, Mr. War Mongerer himself decided to re-enter the political scene and throw his support behind the VP behind three and a half years of international conflicts! Yes - Dick Cheney and his daughter, in the lease surprising endorsement since Taylor Swift, endorsed Harris last week.
Finally, and by far the worst of all, just this week, something called the IRS Agents Union endorsed Kamala Harris. So Harris the candidate of tax collectors. Cool. Remember the 187,000 IRS agents hired last year and given guns to hunt everyday Americans down late on their taxes? Yeah those are Harris’ frontline supporters and probably the people she’ll use to forcibly confiscate your firearms.
These endorsements speak volumes to Harris’ radical nature.
2.) Buckle up for Vance v. Walz
[Newsnation]
It’s debate time again! Well, not exactly.
There won’t be any more presidential debates, but next Tuesday night marks the CBS Vice Presidential Debate between JD Vance and Tim Walz. Let’s take a second to preview it.
Walz will come in to the debate prepared like Harris with memorized consultant scripts throwing around catchphrases and buzzwords their team thinks performed well in focus groups. He’ll call Vance weird about a dozen times, but pay attention; just like in the Trump/Harris debate, most of his attacks will be against Vance personally or his personality, not his policies. Why? Because the Harris/Walz ticket has no policies to counter!
Watch for Walz to get under Vance’s skin as much as possible, just like Harris did with Trump. Expect a major attack line to be that Vance previously didn’t support Trump in 2016. When brought up, Vance should simply say Trump’s accomplishments in office won him over and we welcome any previous never-Trumpers or disenfranchised Democrats to our party with open arms!
I want to make this clear though: don’t underestimate JD Vance. He is one good debater himself! We saw that in his Ohio Senate race. A super close match up that a lot of pundits attribute his debate performance for securing the victory for him! The day Vance was nominated in Milwaukee that’s actually one of the first things I immediately thought of!
Vance is young. Walz is old. Vance has a story of living out the American Dream. Walz is a liar about his record. Vance is a political new comer in his first term. By this point, Walz is a carrer politician.
May the best man win, and this be a debate between both men and not the moderators!
3.) Trump goes grocery shopping
[Forbes]
It appears this newsletter might have eyes on it from Trump & Co.
The past two weeks I’ve encouraged in here unscripted, offensive campaign visits to places like grocery stores to stand next to price tags and show the inflation crippling everyday Americans first hand.
Monday, President Trump visited a grocery store on his way to a campaign event and broke the internet! Seeing him in that down-to-earth environment was content gold! He walked around and compared prices when he was in office to current prices, met with the store owners, talked to everyday grocery shoppers, and even paid for a struggling mom’s groceries when he was in line.
These types of stops and visits should be the entire focus on the campaign. I understand the security risk, but the more you can make the guy relatable and put him in everyday Americans’ shoes to point out the current disaster we’re living under, it’s a winning strategy! Hats off to Trump & Co for continuing to run on offense!
Over the next 40 days he needs to stick with two simple messages over and over and over again: “I took a bullet for democracy”, and “Were you better off when I was in the oval office”? Both will win over youth voters, Nikki Haley voters, independents, and disenfranchised Dems - handing him the White House in November.
