Back to Butler, 60 Minutes Fail, and Vibes Shift
Trump returns to the field of the attempt, Kamala Harris crashes and burns on TV, and a major shift in the race reflects Americans waking up!
Good morning, Happy Warriors! 👋
Common sense has re-entered the room!
Today is Wednesday, October 9, 2024. We are 27 days away from the 2024 election.
Take a deep breath - God is still in control!
Here’s a Bible verse to get you through this week:
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” - John 14:27
Before we begin, let’s take a moment of reflection for our fellow citizens recovering from Hurricane Helene and being hit by Hurricane Milton as this goes out today.
Here’s this week’s “What’s Up, America? 🇺🇸” as I head off to school this morning:
1.) He’s baaack!
[Evan Vucci / AP]
“As I was saying…”
Four simple words that fully encompasses the American spirit: when you get knocked down, you get back up! That spirit was on display Saturday night as Donald Trump walked back on to the same stage in the same spot of the same field he got shot in less than three months ago.
Nobody else would have done it. Most people probably wouldn’t even get behind a podium again, much less go back to the scene of the attempt, but there he was, beaming ear to ear and looking larger than life understanding how lucky he was to even still be here to have the opportunity to finish his speech.
And finishing his speech is just what he did! After emotional and touching tributes to Comperatore's life and family and the rest of the victims of the previous rally, Trump carried on with his speech, brought the graphic that saved his life back on the screen, and highlighted the high-stakes decision in front of voters one month from that night.
The highlight of the night was a special guest Trump welcomed to the stage. On the same day washed up Liz Cheney (who was decisively kicked out of the Republican party by her constituents) walked on stage to endorse Harris, the richest man in the world (and arguably also coolest) joined Trump in Butler, PA to endorse the 45th President.
Elon Musk jumped on stage (literally - up and down) and laid out the task for voters very clearly: freedom or tyranny. Musk went to college in the swingest of swing states, Pennsylvania, and has gone all in to help Trump get re-elected! He’s even committed to go back and stump for Trump on the trail!
Simply put, If you’re going back to the same field you got shot in the head in 3 months ago and drawing a crowd of 100k in a field in Pennsylvania, you’re winning.
All in all - it was certainly a moving, historic night that made every one in the field and watching at home proud to be an American!
2.) Not as soft as expected!
[CBS]
After being in the race for more than 70 days and spending most of those 70 days dodging the press, refusing to hold press conferences, and using her support animal (Tim Walz) whenever possible to deflect questions to - somebody at Kamala HQ screwed up and signed Harris up for a 60 Minutes interview.
Going in to it we all expected softball questions from the liberal hacks at CBS, and I think that’s what Harris’ team expected and why they accepted, but luckily they did press her a little bit and unsurprisingly Kamala Harris doesn’t do well under pressure!
I watched her long, painful sit-down so you don’t have to:
Immediately right out the gate, the anchor asks a very simple question: why have you changed every single policy position you’ve ever had? Harris responded (no joke) with this word salad: "We are a diverse people, geographically, regionally, in terms of where we are in our backgrounds. And what the American people do want is we have leaders who can build consensus. Where we can figure out compromise and understand that it's not a bad thing, as long as you don't compromise your values, to find common sense solutions."
Yeah I don’t know what that means either! I don’t think she even does!
Next, the anchor presses her not once, not twice, but THREE times on the crisis at the border that she refuses to acknowledge. Every single time she deflected, shifted blame, or claimed she took steps to fix the problem. Well, Madame Border Czar, clearly those “steps” didn’t work!
Then, in a conversation about Ukraine, she made the remark that if Trump was elected “Putin would be sitting in Kyiv”. See, that’s funny, because Trump was Commander in Chief and not only was Putin too afraid to invade and waited until after he left, but we actually got in no new wars all together!
At this point in the interview, they bring in Harris’ support animal, Lying Tim Walz to attempt to clean up this disaster, but unfortunately he makes things worse! The host presses him on his repeated lies about his record and travel history. Walz responds with (and sadly I’m not kidding) “sometimes I’m a knuckle head”. Then, the host asks to VP hopeful this: "I think it comes down to the question of whether you can be trusted to tell the truth.", to which Walz responds with “I think I can”.
Finally, the funniest past of the interview was when Harris tells the audience she knows voters are ready to “flip the page” and elect her. There’s just one problem there she’s forgetting: she is the current page. She is the current administration. “Flipping the page” means booting her to the curb. Yes, that is what voters want to do!
3.) Vibes Shift
[Adam Gray / Getty]
Everyone can tell there's been a recent shift in the race.
You can feel it in the air. The campaign built on “vibes” hasn’t had many positive vibes going it’s way lately!
Why?
First of all, Harris/Biden failed to respond for DAYS to Helene as Americans were drowning. Trump donated supplies and toured the disaster across states in the hours following simply offering to help and showing leadership, something Americans miss desperately.
Next, tensions in the Middle East continue to heighten as WW3 looks closer than ever and Harris/Biden show weakness resulting in chaos and the American people miss peace through strength!
Finally, Harris has built her campaign around vibes and joy, but in three months has yet to roll out a specific plan to fix the nation she's broken and voters are starting to see through the emotions and fluffy words and look at the candidate they're supposed to hate who has an actual plan to fix the country and has been resilient even through two assassination attempts!
For the first time in this race, Trump’s beginning to take leads in swing state polls and betting odds, as well as GOP Senate candidates start to make gains.
The tides are changing! Americans are waking up!

Until then, keep fighting the good fight,

Please tell me how Trumps's interview with 60 Minutes was? That's right - he was too much of a coward to speak to an entity besides Fox or Newsmax. America is tired of his lies anyway. Brilyn, please get out of your MAGA cult bubble and wake up. It is never too late to make the right decision. Trump is only running to attempt to stay out of jail.
